The Challenge

Friends Provident Foundation’s 20th anniversary was an opportunity to reflect on two decades of work shaping a fairer, more sustainable economy—while bringing together a community of partners, grantees and collaborators who have been part of that journey.

The brief required more than a typical celebration. The event needed to feel thoughtful and values-led, with the right balance of substance and informality. Finding a London venue that could deliver a strong sense of occasion without feeling overly corporate was key, alongside curating a programme and experience that reflected the Foundation’s ethos. Budget also needed to be carefully managed to maximise impact without compromising quality.

The Solution

Fuse Events supported Friends Provident Foundation from the outset, leading venue search, budgeting and full event delivery. We identified and secured one of the rooftop pavilion spaces at the Southbank Centre—offering a distinctive setting that combined profile with a more relaxed, open atmosphere.

We worked closely with the Foundation to shape the event programme, including sourcing and securing Gary Stevenson as the keynote speaker, ensuring the content landed with relevance and impact for the audience. Alongside this, we managed suppliers, production and logistics end-to-end, keeping delivery tight and aligned with budget.

Attention to detail was key throughout, including sourcing a social enterprise partner, Luminary Bakery, to provide the celebration cake—embedding the Foundation’s values directly into the event itself. The result was a well-balanced, engaging evening that felt authentic to the organisation and meaningful to those in the room.
