CBCE 2019 – Ending our ‘Event Season’ with old friends.

22nd July 2019

So, finally the Fuse team have managed their last event of what we like to call the ‘season’!  CBCE 2019 took place at the Hilton Ageas Bowl in Southampton the first week of July and what a success it was!

This was the first time the Cremation Society and FBCA had taken the event to Southampton and the Hilton.  After our extensive venue finding process we were so pleased to partner with Hilton again and confirm the event at the Ageas Bowl.

Over looking the Ageas Bowl cricket stadium the venue is fresh, welcoming and bright.  Rooms have balconies that overlook the pitch as well as the lake and golf course.  If you have the chance to use it, they have a spa and 2 bars, serving Sir Ian Botham’s wine of course!

200 attendees over the 3 days packed out the meeting room and the 35 stand exhibition hall.  We were pleased to see many familiar faces at what, is always, a friendly and welcoming event.  In one guise or another we have been involved with this event for around 12 years now and we love seeing old friends and welcoming new ones.  We feel truly part of the family.

The cremation and burial industry is a business like any other and we get some interesting reactions when we tell people we are managing this event.  The conference is a leader in showcasing the latest cremations innovations and they draft in top speakers from across the sector.  For us though, this event is more than that, it is a great example of how we truly become part of a client’s team and that working with people you like isn’t a novelty, but should be achievable every day.

Happy summer holidays to all!
