To work with our long term partners the European Social Marketing Association (ESMA) to help manage and produce the 4th European Social Marketing Conference, a biennial event which welcomes 250 delegates from over 30 countries to celebrate and share best practice in Social Marketing.

To work with ESMA to manage a call for papers and the conference planning committee to create an three day programme of keynote talks, curated panel sessions, breakout sessions and training workshops.

To find the right location and venue. Given the diverse multinational audience and our commitment to host the conference in a new location every two years always creates an interesting venue search for each event. The locaiton must be well connected, offer a range of hotel / accomodaiton offers to cater for senior professionals down to those on student budgets. We also commit to using public, culturally signification and ethical venues for every event.

After a serious round of networking and venue searching FUSE and ESMA fostered a great relationship with Visit Flanders and the Antwerp City Council Marketing team. Both parties were extremely excited about hosting the conference. With our locaiton confirmed, and with the support of Visit Flanders we quickly found the excellent Elzenveld Conference Centre and Hotel which is perfectly located in central Antwerp.

From the outset our partners in Antwerp City Council were superb champions of the event, helping us secure an excellent Civic Reception and local dignatories to open the conference.

The 4th European Social Marketing Conference was also a record breaking event for FUSE and ESMA. With a record number of attendees and paper sumbissions creating the largest programme of any European Social Marketing event the conference firmly hit it's objectives of engaging the behvaioru change community in Europe and also developing the discipline in the host nation. Wtih speakers from some of Europes and the world's leading thought leaders and policy makers, and presenations and high level engagement from local and national government personel the event was certianly the best yet.

Roll on ESMC 2020!
